Like just about every amusement park lately, an interactive children's area is practically a given. This one, themed to Spielberg's American Tail has all the expected ball crawls, slides and water snakes. High atop the water tower there is surprisingly daring slide. Single-rider passengers, weighing no more than 200 pounds, board an inflatable raft and glide down the slide aided by running water. In the middle of the day, when the lines at the other attractions can get pretty fierce this is a fine family diversion -- except for the long line at the raft slide area.
