Earthquake: The Big One

Disasters make great movies -- and great rides too. Here Charlton Heston will walk you through a pair of pre-shows where you see how an earthquake is simulated and filmed. You are then placed on a subway with tram-style seating, presumably in San Francisco. After a short trip the train stops at an exit and the earthquake begins. The trains rattle, water comes racing towards the tram, fiery explosions erupt from the ground. You are tucked safely in your jerky train, and you don't even get all that wet. If your child can accept that this is all staged then you should have no problems with this elaborate disaster recreation.
